At Doggy Bathroom, reducing waste is an important part of what we do. One of our ongoing initiatives involves converting damaged Doggy Bathrooms into pet beds for animals in shelters. This not only helps prevent unnecessary waste from heading to landfills but also provides animals in need with essential bedding.

In collaboration with Bedgear, we have taken this effort a step further by repurposing pillows that would otherwise be discarded. By inviting them to send us pillows that can’t be sold, we’ve found a way to breathe new life into these materials, combining them with our reworked Doggy Bathrooms to create comfortable bedding for animals in sanctuaries.

These repurposed items have become safe spaces and beds for a wide range of animals, including cats, pigs, chickens, and rabbits, to name a few. The Doggy Bathroom, when flipped upside down, offers a secure shelter for smaller animals like rabbits or chickens, giving them a place to feel safe and protected. For larger animals, such as pigs or even large dogs, a Bedgear pillow placed in the base of the Doggy Bathroom transforms it into a cosy resting spot that offers comfort and stability.

Instead of allowing items with minor defects to be thrown away, we focus on finding practical solutions to extend their usefulness. The repurposed beds are thoughtfully put together to ensure they provide comfort and support for the animals who need them most.

Through this initiative, we’re able to reduce the amount of waste heading to landfills while also making a meaningful contribution to animal shelters. By giving these items a second chance, we’re not only addressing environmental concerns but also helping animals who benefit from these much-needed resources. It’s a simple way to make a difference, both for the planet and for the animals that rely on us.
