The Keith Haring Edition by Doggy Bathroom The Keith Haring Edition by Doggy Bathroom

At Doggy Bathroom, we believe functional design should be beautiful—and our collaboration with the Keith Haring Foundation brings that belief to life.

This limited edition collection celebrates the timeless energy of Haring’s work while continuing our mission to elevate everyday essentials into meaningful objects.

Our founder, Alain Courchesne, first discovered Keith Haring’s art while studying at the Ontario College of Art & Design in the late 1990s. “His work captured my imagination. The vivid colour, the movement, the geometry—it’s a language anyone can understand,” says Courchesne. “When the idea came together, I knew only Haring’s style could bring it to life. It just made sense.”

Keith Haring emerged as one of the most celebrated young artists of the 1980s. Known for his bold, graphic illustrations, he brought art into public spaces and onto unconventional surfaces, making it accessible to all. We’re honoured to help continue his story—this time, through a curated range of Doggy Bathroom products.

“By blending fragments of his art with new forms, we’re telling fresh stories,” Courchesne adds. “That’s what excites me—Haring’s work invites reinterpretation. This collection keeps his philosophy alive: that art belongs to everyone.”

About Keith Haring

Keith Haring was an American artist and social advocate whose creativity defined a generation. He gained fame for his spontaneous white chalk drawings on unused ad panels in New York subways, often featuring energetic, symbolic figures. After enrolling at the School of Visual Arts in the late 1970s, he became part of a thriving downtown scene alongside peers like Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Haring’s work appeared in galleries, murals, performance spaces—and even on the walls of Monaco’s Princess Grace Hospital, where he was personally invited to paint a custom piece. Inspired by music, street culture, and global issues, Haring formed deep connections with artists like Madonna and Grace Jones. His legacy remains a cultural force to this day.

The Keith Haring Foundation

Created to preserve Haring’s work and carry on his ideals, the Keith Haring Foundation supports organizations that help children and provide education, care, and advocacy related to HIV/AIDS. Through our special edition collection, we aim to honour that mission—bringing Haring’s vibrant vision into homes while sharing a message that still resonates.

A Collection That Speaks the Language of Love and Friendship

The Doggy Bathroom x Keith Haring Collection showcases a selection of Haring’s most beloved symbols, including the iconic barking dog and the radiant red heart. Together, they reflect the connection between people and their pets—a relationship built on loyalty, joy, and boundless affection.

With thoughtful colour pairings in red, black, and white, each product in the collection becomes a miniature canvas, inviting interpretation. As Courchesne puts it, “These symbols are timeless. They mean something different to everyone—and that’s the beauty of Haring’s work. It continues to evolve long after the artist is gone.”
